Not when they actively threaten to withdraw social programs when they realise that they might have to abide by anti-discrimination laws. Of course, this comes on top of the devastating debate on the BBC, in response to which the Scottish Catholics had their own tame debate which they naturally declared they won. Of course, their poll on the topic was pharyngulated, but they like to claim discrimination from the nasty atheists, not understanding that anyone anywhere could vote any way they liked, and the fact is simply that not enough people voted the Catholics wanted. Note that there’s a different poll on their site now, but the latest figures on the “force for good poll” were better that the BBC one – only 1.7% in favour of the Catholic Church.
Meanwhile, on the subject of discrimination, Rachel Maddows informs us that US business lobby groups are up in arms against laws against child slavery etc. It appears that they want to keep their lobbying secret – for obvious reasons. Who would want to be known as “child labor-endorsing, pro-slavery freaks” 🙂
